Lot 242A collection of nine Japanese Meiji era shunga woodblock prints, in mame-ban format, each depicting courting and erotic scenes, together with three small pillar prints from the album 'Eiyu Hyakusho Den' ( The biographies of one hundred heroic samurai), three Showa period sumi-e drawings, and a few others.
Lot 243Hishikawa Sori III (fl. 1797-1813) Japanese, three surimono woodblock prints, two from the 'Addition to the 36 artisans' series, where one depicts a lady presenting a football to a man, the other of two women playing sugoroku (both koban format) , the other depicting a woman with a paper lantern, 13 cm x 10 cm.
Lot 249A collection of four Japanese surimono prints, to include a shijo-style example by Nanrin with rare preparatory drawing, depicting a man making 'mochi', of chuban format, together with two other chuban prints with poems, one attributed to Shibata Zeshin, and another depicting two Geishas.
Lot 254A Chinese Qing dynasty carved bamboo brush pot, the front with carved figural scene flanked either side with inscriptions, the floral frieze to the top and carved figural cartouche to the back, together with another wooden brush pot with pierced carvings throughout, tallest 16 cm high x 11 cm diameter.
Lot 260Three Chinese white metal ingot plaques, depicting relief decorations of figural and naturalistic scenes, one with character marks to the reverse, together with two larger plaques, one with imperial figures, the other with a temple and central Buddha figure, largest 16 cm high x 10 cm wide.
Lot 269A Chinese late Qing dynasty sgraffito vase, of ovoid shape with a green enamelled ground decorated with polychrome birds in a pine tree, the underside with apocryphal Yongzheng mark, 21 cm high, together with a pair of cinnabar plates with carved dragon and deity to the centre, and a white metal brush pot with figural relief scenes and an apocryphal four character Qianlong mark to the underside.
Lot 283A Japanese Satsuma porcelain koro, of globular form with pierced lid, decorated throughout with figures and elaborate patterns with extensive gilt embellishment, flanked with fan shaped handles (one broken), the underside with maker's signature, 34 cm high (lid on) x 23 cm diameter.
