Hector Miller and Ian Ribbons design for John Sutherland Hawes Aurum Designs - The Royal National Lifeboat Institution silver and silver gilt commemorative bowl, made in the Stuart Devlin Workshops, limited edition no. 241/250, made to commemorate the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of the Royal National Lifeboat institution in 1974, the silver gilt roundel to the centre designed by Ian Rilbons depicts the rescue of the crew of the St George, off Douglas, Isle of Man on 20 November 1830 by volunteers led by Sir William Hillary, founder of the Institution, hallmarked London 1974 and AM for Aurum, total weight 309.9g, along with an American Wallace, sterling silver Christmas ornament, circa 1975 depicting a dove with wings outstretched within a circle inscribed Peace on Earth, Goodwill towards man 1975, hallmarked Wallace Sterling, total weight 325.5g
