Bourne End Auction Rooms was established in 1992 and is a friendly provincial sale room offering a professional service. We pride ourselves in providing an efficient and amicable service to sellers and buyers alike and one that is competitively priced. Our buyer’s premium and commission rates remain amongst the lowest in the country.

Conveniently situated on the Buckinghamshire/Berkshire border midway between the M4 and M40 motorways, with excellent road and rail connections, our Auction Rooms are central to, and easily accessible from, the large towns of High Wycombe, Maidenhead, Slough and Reading. The picturesque, Thames-side villages of Marlow and Cookham are nearby. There is ample on-site parking for loading and unloading and convenient ‘Pay and display’ parking in the adjoining car park for longer visits. There are local shops, banks, cafes and pubs within a short walking distance of our premises.

We hold regular weekly auctions of general household furniture and effects at 10.30am on Wednesdays and a monthly ‘Antique and Collectors’ sale on the first Wednesday of each month (January normally being the only exception).Our specialist sale of Jewellery, Period Fashion and Accessories, Fine Art and Twentieth Century Design are held twice yearly in July and November, and a specialist section of Fine Wine, Champagnes and Spirits are held in conjunction with our antique and collectors sales during the year. Catalogues and images of items in our monthly ‘antiques’ and specialist sales are posted on the internet and, as a result, we attract buyers from all over the globe.

Free pre-auction valuations are undertaken on our “valuation” days, currently every Thursday and Friday, as well as Saturday mornings. This is currently by appointment only. If the items are too large to bring to us, we are happy to give verbal valuations from photographs or, alternatively, we can arrange a home visit from our qualified valuers. We offer a professional and discreet valuation service for Probate, Insurance and Family Division and provide certificates that meet the requirements of insurance companies and HM Revenue and Customs.
