A fine, early 19th century month going Longcase regulator by James Hatton, London circa 1810. The 11" silvered regulator dial with centre minutes and subsidiary hour and seconds dials, signed JAS Hatton, London. The substantial month going movement with deadbeat escapement and jewelled pallets, signed I Thwaites on the front plate and numbered 4166, indicating a manufacturing date of 1808, with grid-iron compensation pendulum and brass cased weight. The mahogany case with flat topped hood with fan shaped spandrels and astragal glazed door, 71" high, with some paperwork
