A fine early 19th century Persian Qajar (Jambya) dagger, probably Iranian, with waisted walrus ivory handle, ornately carved with a seated woman surrounded by a pierced floral ground, between two borders of calligraphy, the reverse with a central shaped medallion, bordered by geometric patterns, curved steel blade with central, raised rib and floral raised, overlaid gold designs, in a shagreen, mounted, carved wood sheath with brass end and green cord attachment, 9 1/2" l, approx, total length
