John Gayland - a set of mid 20th century wine glasses each decorated with three sand blasted, etched figures depicting monks, knights, religious figures, jesters and female figures, each glass engraved JGG 1959 to underside of foot, along with a similar drinking glass engraved with two hens and signed in full '6158 John Gayland' to underside of foot.
Catalogue Note: Correspondence exists regarding glass from John Gayland to St Margaret's Chapel, (the north transept of the Chapel York St John's University) and also reference to two books of sketches of designs for windows from John Gayland, circa 1988 for St Margaret's Chapel
