Lot 78        A cased pair of George 111 duelling pistols by John Mann of Glasgow. Originally flintlock, but converted to percussion cap c.1830s. 9" sighted, octagonal barrels, half-stocked with horn fore ends and ramrod tips. Steel mounts with provision for belt hooks. The butts set with silver escutcheons bearing Ralston family crest and initials WHR. In fitted mahogany case with accessories accompanied by a brief history of original owner, Captain William Henry Ralston of the 100^th Regiment of Foot.    800-1200
